Weather: 52 degrees, clear skies with a stiff, frigid wind.
Notes: This was my first ride on this trail that is very near my office (and hopefully my future home). I rode the trail in the northwest section of the park. It is primarily a hiker trail and I encountered at least a dozen hikers on my short ride. It was a cold and windy day, so I felt very stiff and didn't really open up on the downhill. I was also battling a chest cold and am out of shape due to not riding for several weeks. The next time I ride I will hopefully feel more energetic and strong. There are a few more miles of trail to explore in the park. Also the loop could be ridden one way and then in reverse to extend the ride. The trail is not difficult, but it has a lot of steady, low-grade climbing on the first half with several easy switchbacks.
I don't have my ride time or speeds because my cyclometer output was tainted by bringing it too close to a computer keyboard (which apparently makes the cyclometer go crazy. I looked down and my cyclometer told me I was currently cruising at 75 mph.)
